Now Revealed - Napoleon Hill's Secret

When Napoleon Hill wrote his best-selling classic Think and Grow Rich back in 1937, he planted his famous secret within its pages; actually, in two parts. The first part of the secret he revealed openly to his readers. However, the second part of the secret he did not openly reveal. Hill says however, that it will jump off the page when the reader is ready to receive it. Exactly what this secret is has been the subject of continuous discussion ever since.

When I first read the book myself, over twenty years ago, I can say that I was probably not ready to receive the secret. Needless to say, I didnt. However, many years later, I was motivated to reread the book and, still, the secret did not leap out of its pages and stand before me as the author suggested it would when the time was right.

I began to search the internet to see what other people had to say about Hills secret; and I found many people who claimed to know it too. Some wanted to sell the secret and some gave their interpretation of it, but I found that almost no two versions of the secret were the same. So I began to think, for a while, that there was no secret at all; and later still, that the secret was that there is no secret.

However, at one stage, I had quite an insight. I remembered that Hill had said that people like William Wrigley Jr., John Wanamaker and William Jennings had all used the secret to become wealthy. So I figured that one way of finding out the secret for certain would be to work out what it was that they all did in common. Sadly, this line of investigation turned out to be completely fruitless.

Speaking with a friend about the whole subject of the secret and how it was supposedly hidden in the pages of the book, I asked him what he thought it was. He replied that his opinion was that the secret was the individual reader's interpretation. Everyone, he said, would have their own 'aha' moment. That, he said, was the secret.

But, I don't really know why it happened when it did, but it did happen: the penny finally dropped and I actually got it. Once I realised what the secret was, I also realised why Hill had presented it the way he did; and that, in itself resulted in a strong inner conviction that I was indeed right. But will it make me rich (I can almost hear you say)?

The secret is definitely having a positive effect in my online marketing and on the results I am now getting, so things are moving the right way. Now that I know the secret, I can see it being applied by other people; and some of them have been very successful at it too. I can well believe it has been directly responsible for creating significant wealth for very many people and I think it can also work for me.

Use sound to train your Labrador

The fastest, easiest, most effective approach is to recreate the undesired situation in a controlled setting, and correctly use sound distractions with praise to erase the misbehavior. Dogs can learn or unlearn almost anything in four properly conducted repetitions.

Taken to it's extreme, these four repetitions should be performed in four different places, or with different people, dogs, or whatever the "props" involved may be. Understanding how dogs think, learn, and process information is a stretch of the imagination for most of us. It is obvious that they know more about psychology than we do.

They think, have a sense of humor, communicate, tease, lie, steal, etc. just like any one else. But, they don't think human. Dogs are limited to thinking like dogs. It's your responsibility to think things out from their perspective and try to use good judgement.

Be consistent. Dogs get confused if you're not consistent. Now that you are getting familiar with teaching a command through conditioned reflex, you can use similar techniques to stop or break any behavior whatsoever.

We will be using a set of cans in our demonstration. These allow us to change the direction of the sound quite simple by moving the string. This is all we need to change a behavior. We are going to create sound and follow it immediately with praise. What you do is let the unwanted behavior begin nad create a sound from a different direction, and then praise him.

Every time we create a sound this way, we praise him until he stops the behavior. You have to be ready to start the sound again when the behavior starts. You have to get past the point where you say to yourself "why should i praise him ?" but it works. As we said before you have to stop thinking like a human.

Now that you have the technique you can continue for ever to use it to condition him. In future if he makes a mistake in any of the training you have conditioned, it is probably more of a challenge to you as the boss.

Perhaps this is why so many trainers seemingly enjoy correcting their dogs forever. I guess the real reason it is so difficult for us to share the Wits' End Dog Training Method with other pet professionals, is because we take all the satisfaction out of "dealing with" and obstreperous dog. The problem is, that corrections do not teach new behavior.

It wont take much time for you to find if they are still the one you love and if the feeling is mutual. It could take a little time so you have to be patient. If something does happen, congratulations! You have found it is possible to win back a love of a lifetime.
